The DISCIPLE Bible Study program is designed to develop strong local churches through the in-depth
study of Scripture. Through DISCIPLE, persons are strengthened in their faith and guided into service
and ministry. Strong, biblically nourished leadership will help our church grow in vitality and Chris-
tian discipleship. Williams Memorial will have two new Disciple Bible Study classes starting Monday
September 14th. This is an a great opportunity for you to go deeper in your study of God’s word.
Disciple II Into the Word-Into the World
Begins Monday Sept 14th at 6:30 p.m.
Led by Alice and Joe Bunting
This 32 week study encourages persons to open themselves to hear what God has to say to them
through the Bible and to be guided into service. It uses specific portions of Scripture and delves deep-
er into them. Equal attention is given to both the Old and New Testament with concentration on
four books: Genesis, Exodus, Luke and Acts.
Disciple IV: Under the Tree of Life
Begins Monday September 14th at 6:30 p.m.
Led by Martha & Josh Morriss
Disciple IV Under the Tree of Life is a 32 week study concentrating on the Writings in the Old
Testament—Ruth, 2 Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, Esther, Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, Song of
Solomon, Lamentations, and Daniel. New Testament Scriptures include the Gospels 1, 2 and 3 John;
James; Jude and Revelation. The word Under in the title is meant to convey invitation, welcome,
sheltering, security, and rest—home at last. Emphasis on the Psalms as Israel’s hymnbook and prayer
book leads naturally to an emphasis on worship in the study. Present though the entire study is the
sense of the message and the promise, extravagantly pictured in the Revelation.
If you want to develop good study habits, see the scriptures in fresh new ways, and experience op-
portunities for faithful witness and service then this study is for you. To find out more about Disciple
Bible Studies contact Sue Camp in the church office. Sign up in the welcome center.
