Church Ministries and Opportunities

First time guest? We are glad you joined us for worship today. We invite you to stop by the welcome table for church information and a free gift bag. For more information talk to one of our pastors in the bookstore after church today or call Amy in the church office at (903)832-8663.

Are you a participating member of a Sunday School class? If not, why not? The support of a small group can mean the difference in your spiritual walk. There are lots of good classes to join. Call Sue or Vee at 903-832-8663 to talk about one that might be a good fit for you.

Each person in Williams UMC is unique in gifts and minstry. We are all needed. This month we are encouraging every member to make a commitment in ministry. Saturday, January 30 from 10:00 – 12:00 you will have an opportunity to decide which talent YOU will share with your church family. We will gather in Wesley Hall for this Ministry Appreciation, Training, and Organization event. A list is available of some of the ministry opportunities available here. Please study that list, and decide how YOU will be in service in 2010. If you cannot come on the 30th, please contact the staff person in charge of the area you have chosen. We’d love to hear from you!

Upgrades in Wesley Hall are coming! We have received enough funds to replace lighting in the stage area which will enhance worship, civic meetings, VBS, etc.. New lights will go up in February. There’s LOTS more to be done, including projector upgrade, sound board update, and computer upgrade. If you would like to contribute to this designated fund, please make your check to Williams and write “Wesley Hall lights and sound”.

Xperience Services is looking for hidden talent. Do you sing, play an instrument, or act? Do you have experience working with computers or sounds boards? The Xperience band is looking for participants in each of these areas. Contact Russell Martin or Kerri Crocker if you’re interested.
