Children’s Ministries:
Easter Egg Hunt for children through 4th grade will take place on Saturday, April 3 at 11:00. Note that this is a change, as we usually hunt for eggs on Easter Sunday. Don’t forget your Easter Basket and a camera! The Easter Bunny will arrive just in time for pictures and to help us eat cookies.
Youth Ministries
The youth have challenged us all to help “Change The World” by raising enough money to purchase 500 health kits for UMCOR. We have raised enough money so far to purchase approximately 193 health kits. The youth want to continue this challenge for the rest of this year. UMCOR health kits contain the basic necessities for those who have lost everything, and there is still a need for these kits in Haiti and other places all over the world. One kit cost approximately $12. Please help the youth meet their challenge of 500.
Wednesday, March 31, the Youth will have Open Gym in the Youth Center from 5-7. Bring homework and a friend! Liturgical dance is at 5:30. YES! Is at 6:30. Bible study is 7-8.
The Youth Mission Dinner is Sunday April 11 from 5:00-7:00. Make plans now to attend this event which raises money to support summer mission trips. Email courtney.waldrep@gmail.com to host a table or to get more information about the food, entertainment, and silent auction.
Church Ministries and Opportunities
Holy Week Services:
From 5:00-8:00 (except during the services) on April 1 and 2, “The Path” will be available in the Youth Center. “The Path” is a spiritual journey of prayer and reflection using various worship tools. It is appropriate for any age person and is self-led.
On April 1, the children’s choirs will lead the Holy Thursday service in the sanctuary. It includes music and communion, and begins at 6:00.
On April 2, the Youth will lead the Good Friday service in Wesley Hall. It begins at 6:00.
On Sunday, April 4, we will have Easter services at 8:15 and 10:30 in the sanctuary, and at 10:30 in Wesley Hall. Please come and bring a friend.
