Holy Week began with Palm Sunday but continues with two special services happening on Thursday and Friday.
Holy Thursday-April 1, 2010
Holy Thursday is a time for both celebration and remembrance. This year the service will begin with our children’s musical which talks about what praise is, and how we should praise our God. After this the Chancel choir will share in song, and we will remember Christ’s sacrifice as we take Holy Communion together. The service begins at 6:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary.
Good Friday-April 2, 2010
Good Friday is the service were we remember the night Christ was crucified. It is often called the service of darkness, and candles and lights are extenguished one by one through out the service, signifying Christ’s death and the darkness on the earth. This year the youth are taking the lead, and the service will be held in Wesley Hall at 6:00 p.m.
I want to remind you again that these services are being led by the children and youth, but they are services for all ages. Come join us as they lead us in worship.
The Path-
Open 5:00-6:00 and 7:00-8:00 Thursday April 1 and Friday April 2.
“The Path” is a self guided spiritual reflection journey. It provides you an opportunity to pray and reflect on different prayer focuses. The path will be open an hour before and after Maundy Thursday and Good Friday services, in the Youth Center.
