Holy Week activities include Maundy Thursday services in the Sanctuary at 6:00 p.m. This service will include leadership from our children’s choirs under the direction of Amy Kirk, and the Chancel Choir as well. It is a service of Holy Communion. All are welcome to participate in this evening of worship.
Good Friday is a youth led worship service at 6:00 p.m. in Wesley Hall. It is a Tenebrae service, or service of darkness.
Easter Morning will have services at the regularly scheduled times of 8:15 and 10:30. It is a glorious time to be in the house of the Lord. I encourage you to bring your whole family, and bring a friend or neighbor as well.
The season of Easter continues for all of April and until May 23, the day of Pentecost. We will continue to have celebrations.
The Wesley Ringers, Ageless Chimes, Youth Ensemble Singers and Liturgical Dancers will continue to lead in worship in the Sanctuary.
April 18 is confirmation Sunday, which is a glorious time in the life of our church. We celebrate the transformation happening in the lives of our young people who have gone through confirmation.
I look forward to sharing reflections on my class in El Salvador. At this writing, I am about to depart, so I will tell you next month.
