Frequently Asked Questions
For the past three years we have had worship experience during Holy Week that is not like any other. We call it “The Path”, and many who have experienced it have said it is a moving, contempative experience.
So maybe you are interested but not quite sure about it? Here are some frequently asked questions, and answer that may help you.
What is the Path?
“The Path” is a self guided spiritual reflection journey. It provides you an opportunity to pray and reflect on different prayer focuses.
How does it work?
Placed around the room there will be different stations. Each station will have an activity for you to do, and something for you to reflect on. For example one station may have a map of the world and post it notes. You may be asked to write the name of a person somewhere in the world and post it on the map. Then it may ask you to pray for the people posted on that map. Again it is self guided, so do as much or as little as you like.
When and where will it be open?
“The Path” will be open from 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday. This is approximately one hour before and after each of these services. It will be set up in the Youth Center. This provides you a great opportunity to come alone or with your family to experience this event.
Can I help?
We do need volunteers to help set up on Thursday during the day, and to tear down Friday night. Volunteers also will be needed to man the Path during operation. This would include changing out candles, refilling other elements and helping people to get started.
We hope that you will consider joining us this year for this experience.
