Children’s Ministries:
Vacation Bible School is July 25-29. The title this year is “Galactic Blast” so we’ll transform Wesley Hall and several classrooms into outer space-themed areas. This is an awesome opportunity for our church to minister to Williams kids, Williams School kids, and others! Last year we served over 230 children. Won’t you be in prayer about volunteering to help pull off this HUGE project?? It is SO MUCH fun to help. Fill out a volunteer card and/or contact Sue ( suecamp@cableone.net )about your service to this worthwhile project.
Wonderful Wednesdays are fun days for Williams kids to get together this summer. Targeted ages are 1st-6th grade. Dates are June 16, July 14, and August 11. Activities include games and playtime.
Youth Ministries
North District Youth Week is June 6th through June 10th. Sunday June 6th, WMUMC is hosting from 5pm to 7pm. Monday night June 7th, St Luke’s in Kilgore is hosting from 5pm to 7pm. Tuesday night June 8th, St Andrew in Mt Pleasant is hosting from 5pm to 7pm. Wednesday night FUMC Marshall is hosting from 5pm to 7pm. Thursday is an all day fun day from 10am to 6pm at Daingerfield State Park. We will be swimming, cooking out, and having a blast!
June 9th through August 11th we will begin our summer schedule with open gym on Wednesday evening from 6:30pm to 9pm. Sunday night MYF will be from 5pm to 7pm!
Church Ministries and Opportunities
Have you moved? Do you have a new phone number or email address?? If Yes, please complete a “Contact Information Card” located in the pews in the sanctuary or on the side tables in Wesley Hall. Or, just indicate “CHANGE” when you sign in on the attendance pad.
Are you a member of a Sunday School Class? If not, why not?? Small groups are a great way to connect with people and connect with God. Put yourself out there! Visit a class next Sunday! Talk to Sue or Vee or Amy about which class might be a good fit for you.
Fine Arts Camp is scheduled for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, June 22, 23, and 24 from 9:00 – 11:30. Targeted audience is kids entering 2nd through 6th grades this next school year. Attending children should have an interest in art, playing handchimes, or singing. Please call Sherri Waters or Amy Kirk in the church office for more information. Registration forms are available in the Welcome Center and should be turned in by June 11.
