Children’s Ministries:

Wonderful Wednesday this week! Elementary aged kids can come to church on July 14 from 10:00 – noon for playtime with friends, games, and a snack.

Vacation Bible School is July 25-29. The title this year is “Galactic Blast”. If you haven’t registered your child, grandchild, friend, or neighbor, please do it TODAY. The orange registration forms are in the welcome center. Give completed forms to Sue Camp or any church staff member.

A VBS leader meeting for all adult helpers will be held TODAY at 4:00 in Room 108. Sue will discuss areas of responsibility for each category of workers, what to expect, and other important details.

Mark your calendars for July 21, the day for the VBS DECORATION PARTY!

VBS music helpers should get a music DVD from Amy Kirk to practice the VBS songs ahead of time. The music is really great. The VBS kids are going to love it!! Get ready for a workout because the movements and words are high spirit and high energy.

Youth Ministries:

Tonight the Youth will have a FUN night in the Youth Center from 5:00 – 7:00. All youth going into 7th – 12th grades are invited, and they are welcome to bring a friend.

Wednesday, July 14 will be Open Gym for Youth from 6:30 – 9:00. Everyone is invited for games, food, and fellowship.

Look for a letter from the Finance Committee. It will begin like this:

Dear Williams Family:

Our church is in great need of your immediate financial support. While it is unnerving that our cash reserves have dropped to a level where the next payroll is currently not possible, it is reassuring to look at the list of names that make up the Williams Memorial United Methodist

Church family. Our church has always been one that struggles during the summer months to

keep up with operations and has to work very hard come every December to make our year end commitments to the United Methodist Conference. Our church has also been one that always finds some way to get it done. When our congregation sees a real need, we know it will be met. Don’t forget that one summer 64 years ago Williams Memorial United Methodist Church started in a tent in a growing community called Beverly. Look at where we are today…
