Children’s Ministries:
Thank you to all the wonderful Youth and adult workers who helped make VBS such a great success!! The week was awesome! We ministered to 248 kids.
Sunday, August 29 at 5:00 will be the parent meeting for Alive @ Five. All parents who intend on including their children in Alive @ Five activities should come to this important meeting. We will discuss scheduled activities for the year and children’s music events. Bring your calendar, your checkbook, and your willingness to serve.
Youth Ministries
The Youth did a spectacular job as workers at VBS! We are so proud of all of you!!
Sunday, August 22 is the parent meeting in the Youth Center. Bring your calendar, your checkbook, and your willingness to help make this year a great one for our kids. We’ll discuss Youth (grades 7-12) activities for the upcoming school year.
Next Sunday, August 8, we kick off BEST WEEK EVER by traveling to Magic Springs for fun in the sun and a concert that night!! BEST WEEK EVER is an opportunity to come together as a Youth Group in fellowship, fun, and faith. Monday is a family cookout and softball game. Tuesday is bowling. Wednesday is movie night, and Thursday is Water Olympics. Each activity will be from 6:30-8:30.
Music and Fine Arts
Can you sing?? Have you been looking for a way to contribute to sanctuary worship leadership?? Now is a great time to check out the Chancel Choir. It is a great group of people who love to worship God through music. This Wednesday, come to Wesley Hall for dinner at 6:30, and choir practice will begin afterwards.
Mark your calendar for a special night at Williams. On Friday, August 20, the Methodist Men of WMUMC will host the fabulous Pavilion Showcase, a dinner theatre with entertainment provided by various talented local people. Dinner starts at 6:30 and the show will follow. Ticket proceeds will support the United Methodist Men’s pavilion building fund.
