A trained dog is a happy dog. Training your dog is a great way to build a healthy relationship with your family pet. Training can also help stop destructive behaviors and bad habits before they start.
This spring we will be offering basic training classes for both puppies and dogs. Each training session lasts about 45 minutes and provides hands on instruction in things like basic training commands (sit, down, heel, stay), Socialization, and Canine Good Citizen test.
The cost of the class is $50 and all funds are given to the Williams Memorial Society of St. Stephen.
The puppy class, for dogs 3-6 months, will begin with an orientation session Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. in room 104. The class will then run for 10 weeks beginning March 8th at 6:00 p.m.
The dog class, for dogs 6 months and older will have their orientation at 7:00 p.m. in room 104. That class will also begin on March 8th, at 7:00 p.m. and run for 10 weeks.
Training applications may be picked up at the church “welcome center,” found on welcometowilliams.org, or by contacting Harry White at 903-792-6142 or by e-mail: harry@vandermeir.com.
