Each year, the 5th and 6th graders (Junior Youth Fellowship) host a dinner or lunch to raise money for various mission projects.

This year all the proceeds from the Pancake supper will benefit two wonderful ministries, Society of St. Stephen and Watersprings Ranch.

Society of St. Stephen is a ministry of our church which provides food boxes and a meal for those in need.

Watersprings Ranch is a tax exempt, nonprofit, Christian organization that welcome children, 12 years of age or younger, who have suffered relentless abuse or severe emotional and physical neglect.

Suggested donations for the Pancake supper are $5.00 and tickets will be sold during Sunday morning in the welcome center and at the door.

This year the children are collecting money to buy towels for Randy Sam’s Homeless Shelter. We would like each child to earn $10 by helping their parents or someone in the neighborhood. Children are to bring the money, or towels bought with that money, to Sue Camp, on or before December 11th.

I can’t wait until Kids Choirs start meeting again!! I have missed y’all this summer! Our first rehearsal will be Sunday, September 18.

Kids Choir meets during Alive @ Five, our children’s programming that takes place on most Sunday nights during the school year. If you have participated in past years, welcome back! If your family hasn’t joined choir before, then this is the year to begin! We have lots of super fun songs and movements to learn so that we can present them in worship services this fall.

Before school begins, we would like to send your children back to school with a blessing.

Bring your child’s backpack, and lunchbox, on Sunday August 21st to have them blessed in our 8:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. worship services.

These backpacks, and lunchboxes are our children’s constant companions as they go about their school days. Therefore, it is very important to have them blessed, along with reminding our children of God’s presence in our lives.

This blessing is not limited to backpacks or lunch boxes. Bring anything your child uses that is important to him or her so these too can be blessed.

You can also be a blessing to someone elses child by purchasing a new backpack and bringing it to the church that day. The new backpacks will be distributed to kids who need them.
