Financial Workshop for Individual Investors

For four weeks starting October 4th we will be hosting the “Financial Workshop for Individual Investors.”

This workshop, led by our own Gary Klein, will help you learn ways to save, invest, and work toward your financial goals. Whether you’re just starting out, or want to learn something new, this will give you real-world strategies that are easy to follow.

There is no charge for the workshop but reservations are requested.

Young Women’s Bible Study and Yoga

Young Women’s Bible Study

During the month of July we will be having a Bible study for women 18-30 years of age. The topic of the study will be Purity: Mind, Body, Spirit. We will meet at Kaitlin McMichael’s home on Thursday nights at 6 p.m. and will discuss as a small group what it means to live a pure and healthy life for Christ. The study begins on July 7th. Christian Yoga – All Women Welcome

As a conclusion to our Young Women’s Bible Study we will be having an hour of Christian Yoga taught by yoga and palates instructor, Dianne Hopper on Thursday July 28th at 6 p.m. in the Youth Center. The class is free and open to all women going into the 9th grade and older. If you have a yoga mat, please bring one, if not contact Kaitlin McMichael by July 14th so that we can get one for you in time for the class.

Fine Arts Camp

Kids going into 2^nd – 7^th grades are welcome to join us for an African-themed camp on June 20, 21, and 22.

On Sunday, June 19 at 5:00 we kick off camp with a concert from Zambian Vocal Group.

Monday through Wednesday kids will participate in crafts, drum lessons, and African dance.

Times are 11:00 – 2:00 and lunch will be served. Registration forms are available in the Welcome Center.

Pastor’s Class

There will be a Pastor’s Class during the Sunday School hour beginning on Feburary 20th and will continue through April 10.

If you are a new member or a visitor to the church and want to learn more about Williams, or if you just have some questions about our beliefs and practices, this class is for you. All are invited to join us in Room 108 at 9:15 – 10:15.

Topics of each week include:

February 20 – How do I know I am a Christian? What does assurance mean to faith? How do I grow closer to God?

February 27 – Why do we baptize? How does Communion work? Why are these things important to me?

March 6 – What do Christians believe? What do United Methodists believe?

March 27 – Why are there different Christian denominations? Where do Methodists fit into the Christian family?

April 3 – History of the Methodist Church.

April 10 – What about Williams UMC, where did we come from? Where do I belong in the family here at Williams?
