Service to the community is how we use our prayers, presence, gifts and service to share the love of Christ. A popular hymn says that the world “will know we are Christians by our love;” therefore we give attention to local and larger community ministries of compassion, justice, and advocacy.
Our efforts in these areas are a response to God’s grace, not a way to gain God’s favor – we love others because God first loved us. We strive to extend God’s mercy and justice beyond the walls of our church, into Texarkana, surrounding communities, and the world.
