Music and Fine Arts
At Williams there are many opportunities for you to experience, and participate in our Fine Arts ministries. God has given you gifts and the church is a great place to use those gifts for Him. The Williams Brass Ensemble plays special music for the traditional worship services and has even shared their musical offerings from time to time in the Xperience Service. They also have played for special services like our 60th anniversary and our “Hanging of the Greens” service in December. The Williams Brass meets on Wednesday Nights at 6:15 pm. Our Kids Choir is part of our Sunday evening Alive at Five program and is led by Amy Kirk. It is for all kids age 4 through 6th grade. The kids choir not only sings but learns to use simple instruments like hand drums and chimes. The sing a few times during the year in the Sunday morning services and plan a musical to happen in the spring. For more information about Children’s Music contact Amy Kirk.
There are two handbell groups at Williams Memorial. The Wesley Ringers meet on Monday mornings at 9:00 a.m. This group has a varied repertoire, and has fun ringing all types of music. They perform annually for Hanging of the Greens as well as services throughout the year. Space is limited, but new members are encouraged. Ageless Chimes is a handbell group ranging in ages from 3rd grade thru adults. This group meets on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m.-4:45 p.m. If you are interested in ageless chimes please contact Sherri Waters for more information.
Liturgical dance is open to all rising 7th through 12th grade girls. If you are interested in Liturgical dance, Liturgical dance peforms regularly during all 3 worship hours and also for special events at the church and in the community. The Sanctuary Choir provides choral anthems and other special music for our 10:30 service in the sanctuary. The choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. and is always looking for new voices.
Youth Ensemble Singers
YES! Youth Ensemble Singers consist of youth grades 7-12 who like to sing. They prepare special music for use in the Sanctuary and Xperience worship services. They also prepare and present a musical at the end of each summer as part of fine arts week. YES rehearses on Wednesday afternoons from 6:00-6:30
