Children’s Ministries:

There will be no Alive @ Five tonight due to the school holiday on Monday. Next Sunday night, children’s choir (1st – 6th graders) will sing at the Revival. Children can eat dinner at 5:30 in Wesley Hall and then meet Ms Amy in the choir room at 6:00.

Youth Ministries

No youth tonight. Next week after church, all the youth should plan on staying for lunch and then UNLOAD THE PUMPKINS!!

Wonderful Wednesday activities this week include Open Gym from 5pm to 7pm, Bible Study from 7pm to 8pm. Lisa Mitchell is providing snacks.

Church Opportunities

Have we taken your picture lately?? If you joined Williams this year and we haven’t taken your picture for the database, please meet the photographer, Jerry Hatfield, in the courtyard today or next Sunday between 10:15 and 10:30. If it is bad weather, he will be in the Narthex, just inside the door of the Sanctuary. If you have new additions to your family, you can also get an updated picture at this time.

Mrs. Paula Hawkins has announced her retirement at the end of the 2010/2011 school year. Therefore, the Director of Williams Day School is open. Applicants must have a degree in Education with business hours. An Administrative Certificate is preferred. They also must be a “people person” with a true love for children and with a strong desire to carry on the ministry of Williams School. Applications may be picked up at the Williams School office.

Divorce Care Workshop continues on Tuesdays from 6:00-7:30 pm in Room 109. It is a 13 week study to provide support and begin the healing process for those who have experienced or are experiencing divorce. Dr. Greg Montoya and Sherri Waters facilitate the class. Videos and workbooks will guide the study. For more info, contact Sherri at (903)278-0499 or swaters@cableone.net.

Williams College and Young Adults: Join us for “5 Questions” Thursday nights at 8pm at Starbucks! Do you know a student away at college that has been involved at Williams? Send your student’s name & current address for end of the semester care packages to Kaitlin McMichael at kaitlin.mcmichael@gmail.com

Pumpkin Patch volunteer sign-up sheets are available at the Welcome Center and in Good Treasures Bookstore. The Youth are continuing to collect candy for “Pumpkin Palooza” throughout the month of October. If you, your Sunday School class, Bible Study group, etc would like to participate in “Trunk or Treat” during “Pumpkin Palooza”, please contact Courtney at courtney.waldrep@gmail.com or just complete a volunteer form available at the Welcome Center. “Pumpkin Palooza” and “Trunk or Treat” are great outreach ministries for Williams. How will you contribute to its success?

The Texarkana Parish will be holding a three-day revival with Dr. Pat Day, from October 17-19. The revival will begin on Sunday night with a meal at 5:30 at Williams followed by a 6:30 service. The Kids Choir will sing on Sunday night. Lunch services will be held on Monday the 18th at First United Methodist Church and on Tuesday, the 19th at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. Evening services on Monday and Tuesday will be at 6:30 at Williams. Invite a friend and come listen to this great preacher from First United Methodist Church in Shreveport.
